Aflotoxins are group of mycotoxins which are produced by some species of Aspergillus flavus and A. parasiticus First of all confirm the growth of both microbes on solid agar medium by using acid fuchsin stain (0.1% in lactic acid), After 24 hrs of inoculation fungi start production of afltoxins, collect sample media, spore, mycelia homogenize or blend it in an automatic blender, etxtract the mixture by using 60% methanol. Use VICAM protocol for samples of aflotoxin isolation from mixture by diisoolving them in DMSO.

Fungal growth is detected in the solid agar medium by staining with Acid Fuchsin. Past the 24-48 h aflatoxin occurs, collect spores, mycelium and mix. Collect methanol extract. Continue with the proper technique to extract pure aflatoxin which is dissolved in DMSO for genotoxicity study. Best regards.
Hi, The best method tho produce a height Quantity of aflatoxin is by use liquid medium (SYB) Sucrose200g, yeast extract 20 g in 1L water, autoclave and grow the isolate on it for 3 week in 25 C,
Extract the aflatoxin by use chloroform , and you can separate aflatoxin types by using TLC method to get pure type of aflatoxin B1, B2, G1 , G2
