If you find a standard in a database for example in "IEEE xplore" also you can import directly in to endnote.
You can choose the reference type as "Standard" after opening the new refernce tab. Then just fill up the required entries.
Example: Ceylon cinnamon bark oil. In: British Pharmacopoeia 2013. Vol 5. London, UK: The Stationery Office; 2012:3659-3660.
Now you can cite it as a journal in Endnote X8. you need all the necessary fields
Yup, you can cite the same as a book or standard or journal. All these options are available in X8.2 version of EndNote.
There is a format for 'Standard' in the reference type drop down box on the reference page. Use X8.2 Version of EndNote. It will help you.
In Endnote X9.2, you have to pass three steps to cite a standard:
1. Click New Reference (Ctrl+N),
2. In Reference Type, select Standard,
3. Insert other information about that standard!
Note: Sometimes, an institute advises a special format for citation of its standards. For instance, ASTM suggests a specific format at www.astm.org. Look at this example:
