If I have a cathode capable of ~500mAh/g

and an anode of ~300mAh/g for example,

For 2g of active material (assuming a 1:1 ratio, although impractical - 1g cathode material and 1g anode material), will I have 300mAh of total reversible capacity since the anode is a limiting case? Or will the capacity be an addition of 300mAh + 500mAh = 800mAh?

This is ignoring electrolyte and other components, I just need to know the basics of the theory. Thanks in advance.
