I understand that there are two methods of obtaining the elastic constant of a cubic system, stress- strain and energy- stress means. Any useful guide on the use of quantum espresso to implement the task will be greatly cherished. Thanks

The total-energy calculations need to be done carefully because the response to a small (1-2%) strain is small while the total energy itself is a large number. Convergence wrt k points is something to look into as well.
