Sir, how can I calculate a coverage area in a wireless sensor network based on nodes Residual energy ?
1. In sensor network i'm deploying sensors in random manner.
2. After deploying it, how can I cal. the coverage area for each sensor nodes based on it's residual energy?
3. Is there any formula to cal. the coverage if there is just those formulas given.

point coverage problem, the objective is to cover a set of
points. There are two types of coverage approach (a) random
point coverage (b) deterministic point Coverage. In barrier
Coverage minimize the probability of undetected penetration
through the barrier (sensor network).
sir, still i'd get proper answer, "Analysis of k-Coverage in Wireless Sensor Networks " in this paper initially they are taking coverage area as '1' degree, so i want to know to calculate that degree of sensor which nothing but sensing range.

The question is interesting , a possible conjecture for consideration is as follows.
1.Assume say uniform random distribution ( for example)
2.Assume residual energy Er is measured in a given time window T
3,Assume uniform transmission conditions
4. If the sink is at say the center the distance of the sensor is directly proportional to the residual energy Er , we can get an estimated plot of the profile of the area.
5, Scaling with a few sensors should help in converting 4 to actual units.

The residual energy may affect the performance of a WSN but I think the coverage mainly depend on the positions and sensing radii of sensor nodes.
I am confused about what question you want to solve.
If we turn the question around a bit, there exists so called characteristic distance for transceivers given a specific path loss environment. That characteristic distance is a communications distance in which the transceiver transmitter electronics and transceiver amplifier energy consumptions are in balance, meaning the least energy is consumed to advance data packet forwarding for a certain distance in meters. Of course this is most useful in a multihop domain with reasonably dense networks where near-optimal forwarding (routing) can be done.
So to answer your question more directly, if you can use the characteristic distance in communications, your transmitter energy consumption is minimised per bit and hence your residual energy would be consumed with minimal decrements.
There is however, the receiver that also needs to be taken into account. if the receiver energy consumption dominates communications, then using the characteristic distance may not result in least energy consuming communications as longer hops may be more energy-efficient for the network as a whole.

Hi, I don't know whether my answer is completely correct for your question, but I can try to explain my idea about it.
First thing is the residual energy here can be considered as lifetime of a single node, so the first formula could be one to cal. this lifetime.
Then, I think the coverage of each node is not easy to understand, because in applied research, the coverage area of the whole network is often mentioned.
In my opinion, some features of your designed WSN should be clarified, for example, which application you would to apply in this WSN, and which type of topology you will adopt. For my research about WSN in agriculture, we prefer to define two nodes to monitor a parcel of field, so we can say these two nodes can cover this area in the perspectives of sensing and communication. Moreover, different network topology can impact the lifetime heavily. So you have to point out you are using star, cluster, mesh or other types of network.
Perhaps, you need a WSN simulator to help you to get the answer, with building appropriate models, not a set of formulas.
