I have four factors(F1, F2, F3, F4) with different levels( 3*2*2*3). Factors are nested each other so I am planning to do split -split-split design. please insist on the methodology for the triple split-plot design experiment.
If your design is like in the attached file, you have a
3within x 2within x 3within x 3within subjects design; i.e., each subjects has 36 (3x2x2x3) repeated measures.
But, if a factor is for different groups of subjects, then this factor is between subjects. For instance the Factor F1 might be for 3 different groups of subjects.
Exactly I am taking (2x3x2x4). so I have 48 combinations. factor 1(a1, a2), facter2 ( b 1 b2 b3 b4), faster 3( c1, c2), factor 4(d1, d2, d3,d4). within one factor I am introducing other factors so on. is it possible?
Are these all within factors? I.e. does every unit of observation (e.g. a tree or plant or subject) give 48 measures? My guess is than some factors are between subjects, thus for different groups of observations. Maybe you could give me an example of your data.
