Hello, I am looking for microorganisms that can suppress weeds on legume crops,. so I need your suggestion about it as well as the application methods?
Just consider that Nature has provided us all solutions and we just have to be intelligent enough to understand and use those solutions in a way that could be sustainable.
What I suggest to you is to isolate a number of microbes from epiphytic, endophytic and rhizospheric parts and screen their ability to suppress weed. Of course, the suppression could be either direct (infection of weeds) or indirect (plant growth).
Morover, exploiting the inhibitory effects of certain amino acids on the growth and development of specific plants could be an effective way to enhance weed biocontrol efficacy. Have a look on this artilce in this regard whiere you can find interesting info.
Hi. I am working on pea for managing the disease by Trichoderma. I think if your plant is healthy, it can easily suppress the growth of weeds growing with the plant. I have experienced this in the field condition.
You can find a lot of examples. Kindly surf the following sites
