Fluorescein encapsulated within polymeric nanoparticles can be visualized uptaken within cancer cells using confocal microscopes and fluorescence microscopes but no significant fluorescence is provided by fluorometer. Taking into consideration that a curve is placed on the same plate with cells uptaking these nanoparticles with even lower concentration of fluorescein than those added for uptake and they show significant fluorescence. What could be the reason for such a thing?
