Authentication phase can be implemented over OBS and OLS networks using burst header or label switching. However, during the traffic transfer, it is impossible to switch packet or burst without using the header content. This content can be modified by an authorized user and the data traffic can be lost. the main issue consists in protecting the header or label switching during the traffic transmission phase.
