If the tumour develops from epithelial cell it is called carcinoma and if tumour develops from mesenchymal cell then it is called sarcoma. In case of epithelium there is no blood vessels. which means angiogenesis doesn't happen in case of carcinoma? And it should happen only in case of sarcoma. people say that angiogenesis plays a very important role in metastasis. Then how carcinoma cells undergo metastasis? We know that during metastasis the epithelial cells undergo EMT folowed by intravasation. Which means EMT should not happen in sarcoma. Is that the case?
