From my point of view, yes, it can be said that 3D-printing in changing the rules of the game in biomedical field. We are working in metal 3D-printing - manufacturing of patient specific titanium implants - and we see the definitely new effective approach, that reduce the surgery time, better for recovery process, and already became cost efficient.
As for printing of organs and tissue, it seems to be even more impressive and revolutionary.
