Hie.. Help me understand whats happening to my mice to be dying once i inject them with phenylhradize to induce anaemia. Also what can do to succeed?

I want to induce anaemia using phenylhdrazine in mice.. The phenylhadrazine is being injected at 40mg/kg body weight, but everytime i inject the mouse dies in few minutes. Kind of paralyzed and then dies.
