I would be interested in Bias awareness study as I have worked on Weinsteins model for risk perception and found quite interesting finding when compared data from pakistan and australia
Hi there sorry for delayed reponse. My study was on optimism bias a as a predictor of health behaviors where we studied optimism bias and adoption of health behaviors for cardiovascular disorders. For australian sample there was a strong correlation between optimism bias (measured on weinstien's scale), however, interestingly the basic theory of weinstien that optimis bias is a general characteristic of the population stood negated for a pakistani sample. I think the religious beleifs and thoughts were one of the major factor in showing no opitmism bias for positive items, however for negative life events there was a realistic response. This indicate that may be universally this theory can not be adopted as a general characteristic of the population. I am at the moment trying to correlate religosity with media coverage of Pakistan in one of the universities so lets see what comes up,
