Hi there ! I'm looking for some protocol with which I can use the whole cell culture (blood) and break down the cell membrane of the host cells to release the parasites, but I need the guest cells to stay healthy and safe, also if anyone knows how can I centrifugate the resulting mix to get a phase with only the parasites it would be great!! .. I found that the EDTA 20 can work but I can't find this chemical, something that could work similarly would be ok too.

Guess: you could try sonication at different intensities for different times, using phase contrast microscopy to check for cell (=membrane) disruption. Best of luck!
