You can download the softawe in the link:

http://www.neuron.yale.edu/neuron/download

And you can download the precompiled installer  * .deb. Then from a shell you execute the command

# dpkg -i * .deb

Where *, is the name of the package depending on whether your computer is a 32-bit or 64-bit architecture. In principle you should not have problems.
