Trizol is the brand name of the key ingredient of many of the RNA isolation kits that are on the market: I suggest shopping around, based on your budget, and finding a plant-specific kit for you. i work on peas, and have used QIAGEN, Promega and Bioline kits: I find QIAGEN to be the best of these, but it is quite expensive.
