Process flow for assigning Calibrators & Control values in any diagnostics assays e.g. Biochecmistry, Immunoassays (ELISA) /multi standard mode.

What would be the major difference in the process of setting the values for Calibrators & Controls. Any reference guidelines would be helpful.
