hi can anyone guide what does p values like 0.0004, 0.00001 and 0.000001 indicate?I got these p values and want to know if these are fine an dcan be reported in publication? i have set p value less than 0.05 as significant for my analysis. ? Thanks
The p values you have reported are less than .05 so that would indicate your results are significant. Depending on the publishing conventions of your field you would report these values as either p = .0004 or p
Thanks Cassie, but I m still doubtful. I know these values are far less than my set value I.e 0.05 as statistically significant but I just read if values are that much small and v close to zero there is may be problem in data accuracy or may be sample size is not correct. I used spearman correlation coefficient method. May be there is some other suitable analysis that I can apply for double chack?Being molecular biologist I don't have good knowledge of stats that y I posted here. I wish my supervisor has sane opinion as you ;) and yup I add > by mistake
