I would like to test the effect of Trastuzumab (ROCHE) on BT474 cells, but I have only Herceptin for infuison. Is it possible to use it for cell cultures?
I have to resusped it in the classic infusion solution, but I do not know how long could be the manteinance in the fridge (4-8 C).

I did a search on SciGine and found that Herceptin can definitely be used in cell culture. Take a look at the attached method for treatment of ovarian cancer cells.

For clinical purposes, Herceptin is stable for 1 month after reconstitution of lyo powder with stabilised water for injection (stored at 2-8C). This solution is further diluted into infusion bags which are then stable for 24 hrs (RT). Same applies for research purposes I guess :)

We use it all the time in the lab, even to generate Trastuzumab-resistant cells, and it works fine, so you'll have no problems. Good luck!
