Have you installed Gamess in your system. It is a separate software which doesn't come with chem3D.Chem3D can only create interface for Gamess,but to run the calculation Gamess should be installed in your system.

Yes, I installed Gamess in system and also other "things" in Chem3D required for Gamess interface to work. Maybe I overlooked something in manual. I'll check it again. Thank you.

If you have installed GAMESS already, why don't you directly submit the calculation into GAMESS using the input file you've created. It's a stand alone software and you don't need chem3D. Also if you explicitly need input file builder, you can use wxMacMolPlt, which specifically make input files for GAMESS. Link is given:

I've already fugured out the problem... I changed the default installation folder, so I reinstalled it and now it works fine. But I will try the input file builder, you suggested. Thank you.

Hello Guys!!!

It seems to be I have the same problem with Gamess in Chem3D 15

GAMESS Job: Minimize (Energy/Geometry) RHF/3-21G

error: An error has occurred during the GAMESS calculation. Output file is not created.

But, I have success installed Gamess and etc. in Chem3D and it works good first 2 times. I performed Minimize energy/geometry and then predicted UV/Vis spectrum. After that, each times when I try to do the same job, I get the message mentoined above.

What should I do to fix it? I reinstalled Gamess two times, and in each cases it works only first 2 run caclulations and then error messages appear again.

PS. I'm not good at Gamess, I just want to try predict some UV/Vis and NMR spectra using simple operation in Chem3D...
