In terms of fixed bed biosorption, the experimental breakthrough curve parameter such as breakthrough time, exhaustive time, capacity and removal, how to determine their value? especially for total mass metal sorbed and total of metal ion sent to column, the time used in this equation is breakthrough/exhaustion/what time?
First: find how much volume can pass per minute or second (mL/min).
Then: begin to pass your solution and collect each 10 mL and analyze your target.
Then: Draw the results of your analyzed target with the volume you collect or simply convert it to time using your flow rate.
Adsorption zone height is the part of the bed, when the solute concentration changes from a low value (break point concentration) to a high value (bed exhaust concentration).
