Normally there are a lot of this cells freely located along the peritoneum in the abdominal cavity and around internal organs (fig1, fig2). But in some specimens there was similar cells in liver parenchyma (fig3), around bile duct (fig4) and in liver vasculature (fig5, erythrocytes partially destroyed by Bouin's fixative). I have suggestions that these cells are rodlet cells, but they have no distinguishable "rodlets" or strips in cytoplasm.
Adult zebrafishes were not treated, HE stain.
