Hello! Please, I would like to know if it is possible to directly used blood sample for ELISA instead of SERUM sample obtained from the blood?

I want to measure the Level of IgG, IgM, IgA, and IgE in rabbit model. I mistakenly lost my serum samples but i have some blood samples saved in K3-EDTA tubes. So i was thinking that i can dilute the blood and proceed to perform the Elisa.

sorry on your loss

i am not very sure on the effect of Potassium on Ig but its worthwhile to try it.

find here (link below) on a work done using whole blood (dried on a filter paper) to check Ig and remarkably, the results are very similar when compared to Immunoglobulins in serum
