I am pretty sure that you mean “Arabian Journal of Geosciences”. I think that there are two reasons why they are discontinued in Scopus:

-Since 2021 they accepted and published a suspiciously larger number of papers (three-fold more than average) https://www.scilit.net/wcg/container_group/6161

-This increase is (like so many more journals nowadays) mainly due to the number of papers published in what they call special collections (often called special issues)

Like numerous other titles these special issues/collections suffer from problems with maintaining the peer review, proper editorial responsibilities, and quality control (due to the enormous number of manuscripts they need to handle). So, I think that a normally perfectly fine journal is the victim of fraudsters/paper mill cartels etc. when it come to their special collections. Of course, are they to blame for their inability to organize this properly but then again, they are not alone in this, see for example:

Personally, I would not withdraw the paper. The paper is just fine (as is/was the journal) and as far as I can see you have a significant number of papers well-indexed. People are/should be able to distinguish between the quality of a paper based on the paper itself and the (perceived) quality of the journal where the paper is published in. To me it is perfectly clear that your paper is not published thanks to some kind of misconduct.

Yes, it is sad that poorly handled special collection management led to discontinuation of the journal but at the time you published the paper there was no reason to suspect anything so you are not to blame in any way, and I would just keep up the good work and move on and not waste time to get the work published elsewhere.

PS. It would not surprise me that when the journal sorted the whole mess out (and keep retracting all the rubbish in their special collections) that a request to get included back again in Scopus will be successful.

Thank you for all these important information. I contact the journal about to withdraw the paper, but they refuse. So, I Hope that it will be indexed if the journal come back to scopus data base.
