Tactics and technique are two words that are somewhat similar and slightly different in their understanding and interpretation among many people.
First: Technique is a Greek word that was common among the Greeks in the past and was used in the army and means equipment or quantity of weapons.
Second: Tactics is also an ancient Greek word or term that was common among the Greeks in their time and was also used in the army and means the art of using weapons. This is the origin of the two words and their meaning and where they were used. Ages passed and the years passed. The use of the two words mutated and their meaning changed for some until we brought them to the world. Team games and we began to use them in teams and national teams, in analyzing methods of playing, the flow of performance on the field, and even in evaluating players.
Technique and tactics for so-and-so coach or for a certain team, or we say this player is tactical and that player is technical.
Tactics are the actions or methods employed to reach a goal.Technigue is the style or form which a person uses to implement those actions or methods.

"We do a lot of work on technique in grassroots training but just as important are the tactics that put the technique to good use. While it is important that the two are worked on separately at training don't forget that they mutually reinforce each other while playing the game. So while technique is all about movement and skills it does not take into account the opposition factor – this is where tactics comes in. Tactics help a player find the right position in a team because they make a player perform best in a situation that shows off their particular physical characteristics. A defender pushed into attack can show skills you previously had never seen because you only played them as a defender. Tactics also help players make the right decisions in game play situations."

It is my belief that every effective tactical plan requires the anticipation to manage each player's instinctive reactions. Tactics are essentially the specific maneuvers or approaches utilized to achieve an end goal. Technique, on the other hand, is the personal style or manner in which a player executes these maneuvers or approaches.
