In most of the soil researches read and soil science manual, 2 mm soil is used for routine analysis and 0.5 mm for Organic C, and there is no explanation why this is so. Can anyone tell me the reason
The coarse fractions contain timely and spatially varying proportions of organic litter, which have yet barely contributed to soil formation and which are difficult to interpret quantitatively with regard to soil organic C and total soil N contents.
