If you are performing sequence analysis in same PC where the data is generated you must have sequencing analysis software provided by Life technologies/ABI. If you have .ab1 files with you and wish to analyse sequence data on your personal computer you can download a free sequence file viewer software known as chromaslite from below link:

http://www.technelysium.com.au/Chromas261Setup.exe

Once you open the file in this software, you can view the data. You can copy sequence in fasta format, paste in word/notepad and perform further BLAST or clustal alignment as per your requirement
