I need a specific strategy to get asexual spores or conidia from plant pathogenic fungi Bipolaris oryzae cultures. in this regard anybody have experienced in fungal spores form vegetative mycelial from culture petri plates, here i am encountering sporulation problem. please suggest me advices for better sporulation from old and non-sporulating fungal cultures. your insights will be greatly appreciated
"Six media and five light treatments were used to obtain sporulation of Bipolaris oryzae. Commercial rabbit food agar induced abundant spore production. The optimum light regime for sporulation was short-cycle radiation of 12 hr of black light followed by 12 hr of complete darkness."
