Well its high time to be aware of the predatory journals as they are not only creating corruption in research area but also are seriously corrupting the recruitment process. In India, many of the institutes are only concerned about the candidate's paper published in UGC list of journals, neglecting the quality of the journals.

The issue of predatory Journals in India precisely is so disturbing. I have always done my best to publish in UGC approved Journals but some Journals would still fake UGC approval and fake Thomson Reuters indexing on their websites. Authors needs to do a meticulous search to get an appropriate Journal in most fields.

So far as I know UGC has recently revised the list.
