The journal is fully open access (no article processing or publishing charge) currently under evaluation for indexing in SCOPUS and ESCI. The link is here :
This journal “International Journal of Automotive Science and Technology (IJASTECH)” is unknown to me. When I look at it, I see some good signs:
-They are a member of DOAJ (https://doaj.org/ ), which is often seen as a ‘white-list’ for open access journals
-Papers have a legit DOI
-They charge no fee
-Papers seems to be okay (submission and acceptance info, info about number of reads and downloads, etc.)
One thing is a bit disturbing:
-They use a prominently mentioned impact factor while they are not indexed in SCIE of Clarivate
-The ‘impact factor’ corresponds to the CiteFactor which is a so-called misleading metric. See for more info on this: https://beallslist.net/misleading-metrics/
Still, I estimate this journal as a legit and genuine journal that most likely will receive one or more serious indexing soon.
