Technology is a way of doing something — nothing more and nothing less. It is not gadgets.
Your life is what you make of it right here and right now. If you wish to be addicted to television and social media or anything else, then that is the choice you make, and you live with the consequences of your choice. You can always turn off your phone or walk to the post office. Your choice.
Technology has only a partial contribution to happiness. It is growing but only tech savvy are happier; those who find it difficult are attacked by computer bugs, spams and break downs. Likewise, mobile is taking away fun of intimacy, direct interaction and relationships in older perspectives.
Outdoor activity is reduced. Life style in all age groups has changed. People are more serious about what they are doing, thanks to technology. A toiling man was perhaps happier than a young one fatigued and red eyed because of screen. IT IS THE LIFE STYLE THAT WOULD MAKE ONE HAPPY. Technology is trying hard to bring new elements but risks and failures are always there. Happiness therefore is only fractional.
Happiness is generally embedded in ‘do more’ or ‘leave me alone’. Technology is yet far from that. WE ARE NOT HAPPIER THAN BEFORE.
