Its recommended for Flow but has just one old reference for IHC-P. As this is going to be used for very precious human tissue sections, I wanted to be absolutely sure before trying it on our very few work up samples.
No, sorry. I used many different clones of anti-CD8 antibodies for IHC and immunofluorescence, but I have never used this clone SK1. I suggest to search for a antibody recommended for IHC because in my experience those suggested for flow cytom. do not work on tissues.
Dear Megha, it may be too late to be useful fro you but if anybody else is looking for a good antibody to CD8 working on human FFPE tissue - some time ago I have used Dako antibody with Dako recommended antigen retrieval - it worked well.
With very precious samples (e.g.few remaining sections from an old study) it is good to find positive control sections from the same lab and the same age (to be sure that the processing and fixation are the same as your precious sections. This way you can safely standarise your antibody dilution and tweak antigen retrieval if necessary. Good luck with your project.
