After the electrospinning process with PCL(20wt%) /gelatin (8wt%) at different concentrations: 50:50 and 75:25
I was unable to detach the mesh from the aluminun paper.
I used chloroform:methanol (3:1) for the PCL(20%) and acetic acid (80% v/v) for the gelatin (8%)
Was anyone able to detach it? Maybe the solvents are not the proper ones?

In that paper they use nanoparticles and hydroxyapatite. I am just looking for something much more simple. I have found this paper: "Electrospun PCL/gelatin composite nanofiber structures for effective guided bone regeneration membranes" instead using chloroform and methanol for PCL dissolution they are using TFE and once adding the gelating they also add acetic acid to make the dissolution more homogeneus.

Hi Maria Bikuña , I have had used PCL+Gel (80:20 ratio) 10%w/v final solution. I used the trifluoroethanol solvent for dissolving. It worked very well for me and I could detach the nanofibers properly. You can try doing the same.
Mixin PCL20% and gelatin 8% using acetic acid in a ratio of 80:20 works perfectly. To detach de mesh soaking it in water was enough
Hi Maria. It is not a matter of the solvents. The adhesion issue is very typical when electrospinning polymers. You have to spray an anti-adherent agent on the aluminium paper, e.g. the same kind of sprays used on moulds for making composites. Other solution is to replace aluminium by a paper coated with a silicone coating, the same paper which is removed when using adhesive tapes.

You can try Trifluoroethanol solvent for dissolving.
Try different concentration of spinning solution, also play a little with time of deposition.
