The famous brand Pyrex is a 3.3 expansion borosilicate glass. Please see this advertisement from SciLabware company but note that to be on the safe side, let the maximum working temperature be 400 oC & not 500 oC as the company stated. My experience in glass is modest: I taught a chapter on glass in a university course two times & I wrote an article about glass in an Arabic university magazine in the 1980s. Also, I taught practical organic chemistry (I) more than 70 times (glass equipment items have been the stars of this course).

An advice: When a scientist is doing an important academic research, cost of glassware does not matter. Cost is important in large-scale industrial processes.

For many years, the best labware available, anywhere in the world, was genuine Corning Pyrex. Corning got out of the business, when they realized that there was a lot more money in fiber optic and electronic glasses. The original Kimble Glass labware, Kimax, was decent, but, a poor-man's substitute for Pyrex. Most all of the brands made these days are junk. Because the basic low CTE borosilicate glass compositions are prone to liquid-liquid immiscibility and, because they require very high temperatures to manufacture correctly, these glasses often suffer from extreme batch-to-batch uniformity problems. Schott's product is more expensive than all the rest. But, if quality is important to you and your lab, then I would go with it.
