I'm trying to install abaqus on manjaro Linux but have been unable to do so. In the Linux.sh file I commented out the DSY_OS_Release=`lsb_release --short --id |sed 's/ //g' line and replaced it with DSY_OS_Release="CentOS" since centOS is definitely supported by Abaqus. This allowed StartGUI.sh to run and even installed Abaqus Simulation Services and Abaqus Simulation Services CAA API. But it could not install Abaqus/CAE, fe-safe, Tosca or Isight. But the installer gives no error code. It simply says "Action LaunchMediaAction from feature CODE\linux_a64\AM_SIM_Abaqus_Extend.media failed." So, I don't really know where the problem is or how to debug it.

I'm afraid that simply changing the distribution check from "Manjaro" or "Arch" to "CentOS" won't magically change the distribution your're using. It's clearly stated that Arch Linux, and any Arch Linux based distributions like Manjaro, aren't supported.
That said, you can either read the custom recipes/PKGBUILDS/specs (whatever the supported distributions by Abaqus calls them) and try to get Abaqus working by thinking it's running on CentOS, or you could try running Abaqus in a CentOS Singularity container.
If I were you, I'd go with the latter as it's more likely to work.
