We could isolate intact chloroplasts, but we are facing difficulties in obtaining outer and inner envelope membranes on a sucrose gradient.Suggestions are welcome

Thank you sir..we have been trying the same protocol for a while, but unfortunately couldnot fractionate the envelopes. We could isolate the intact chloroplasts but the envelope membrane fractions are not visible in the sucrose gradient. We donot use a gradient maker for generating the gradient. Is the gradient a reason ?
