Is it possible to use Pk to compare the performance of a monitor in different sample groups (i.e. different ages groups)?

I understand it is possible to use Pk probabilities to compare the performance of different monitors in the same population/sample. It is statistically correct to compare the Pk of a monitor resulting from one group (i.e. age < 1 year) with the one resulting from another group (i.e. age> 1 year), assuming that the conditions are the same for both groups?
