We have a very old computer running masslynx 3.5 which we somehow setup to only detect from the PDA detector. I currently have a newer computer with a slightly older version (3.2) that recognizes both the HPLC (alliance 2795) and PDA detector (99). I am having trouble just getting it to do UV/LC because it won't start the run without the MS. Anyone have any troubleshooting experience? Thanks in advance!
I would say contact Waters tech support. They are very competent and I am sure they will be glad to discuss the issue with you.
I would also suggest to contact technical service of Waters. Possibly they will be able to guide you on how to do it.

Thanks for the suggestion. Waters was very helpful. In the newer versions you simply choose not to install the mass spec instrument during installation then go to the inlet editor to add the HPLC.
Noproblem on ML 4.1 but with a SCN that includes your specific UV detector. SAT-IN is a iittle more work.....

Hi guys, I'm trying to use MassLynx 4.1 to run a HPLC-UV instrument as well... I know this is a stupid question, but is there any way to just monitor the baseline with the UV detector without injecting anything? which are the commands?
