As my research based on medicinal plants hence I did all these analysis in my plant.Therefore I just want to know how has anybody done all these analysis in their plant those who are doing research in medicinal herbs.
You have to isolate the constituents by chromatographic techniques and then you can characterize the isolated compounds by spectroscopic methods.

Thanks for all resource persons those who tried their level best to solve my problem. I have attached a file of FTIR Value of Nigella sativa. MY question is how should I come to know that peak values is coming under this group such as amines,alcohols,ester,.By keeping the table i have indicated the groups. However I wish to know from the experts their opinions.So I request the resource person please go through my FTIR peak values and suggest me the groups exactly.

As per my interpretation for your FTIR spectrum's: 3270-3280 cm-1 which shows the presence of OH bond, and it appears as a strong, broad band covering the range of about 3000 - 3700 cm-1. The peak frequency coming under the region as follows:
- 2700-2800 cm-1 due to presence of aliphatic reason;
- 1760–1665 cm-1(s) C=O stretch carbonyls (general);
- 1730–1715 cm-1 (s) C=O stretch α, β–unsaturated esters;
- 1710–1665 cm-1(s) C=O stretch α, β–unsaturated aldehydes, ketones;
- 1470–1450 cm-1 (m) C–H bend alkanes;
- 1320–1000 cm-1 (s) C–O stretch alcohols, carboxylic acids, esters, ethers;
- 1000–650 cm-1 (s) =C–H bend alkenes;
- 1470–1450 cm-1 (m) C–H bend alkanes.
