it is quite surprising to me that suddenly the arabidopsis plants I'm growing under S-deficient (15uM sulfate) is not even showing deficiency phenotype when grown in Custom made MS media. Previously, I had grown them in full strength MS media for 7 days and transferred to Sulfur deficient (15uM sulfate) media, and was able to see deficiency symptom within 5 days. Suddenly, they are not showing deficiency now.

I have tried changing media components- water, custom MS salts, but of no use. I'm using Vitamins and myo-inositol in the deficient media.

Did any plant researchers face this issue before and may provide me with some suggestions? Thanks in advance.
