To understand the quality of groundwater of an area, we generally measure the various parameters like physicochemical, microbiological, trace metals, pesticides etc. The selection of parameters usually depends on the study area location, its geology, anthropogenic activities etc.
Now, after analysis we found that some parameters such as TDS, hardness, Cl, NO3, Fe, Mn, F, and Coliform bacteria are above the permissible limit at some sites of the study area. If a groundwater quality map/quality zoning map is prepared, it would be of immense useful for groundwater management for drinking/domestic uses.
In ArcGIS platform, how this map can be prepared? We like to know the step by step detailed methodology.

Since you have measured these variables and fixed permissible limits for them, one way you visualize this in Arc is to produce different layers for each of the parameters. This will help you to visually appreciate the spatial pattern of each of these parameters. Further, you may wish to combine/overlay these layers using the overlay tool in Arc (Spatial Analyst). In the overlay tool, you can classify the area into different classes (using Weighted Overlay) as per Very Good, Good, Bad, Very Bad. All of these classes will utilize parameters you have set for them. If you do a little google search you can find typical papers in this regard.
