A Research aims to explore how smokers, perceive and interpret fear appeals in anti-smoking ads regarding the effectiveness of these ads when smokers experience exposing to such ads. To understand the reasons and meanings behind smoker’s perception and interpretation regarding the effectiveness of these ads, through interpretation of their reaction to these ads.

The research will adopt a qualitative approach, using interviews as data collection tool. in these interviews, smokers will ask about their past experience with anti-smoking ads, and then they watch six anti-smoking represent three types of fear appeal in a high and low level of fear appeal, and they are asking about their immediate experience (present experience)
