I have prepared graphene quantum dots but they are dissoving in water.
Is GQD soluble in water irrespective of the method we use to prepare them? or the solubility depends on preparation method. Kindly answer me if any one is familliar with GQD.
GQD is not soluble. It is only extremely small graphene sheet in size., which is difficultly observed with our eyes. Usually, GQD is exists in faint yellow solution form due to its easy aggregation.

GQDs are soluble or insoluble depending synthesis method and functionalizing and doping agents. For example, if you use citric acid as carbon source, product is soluble, but using glucose it is insoluble (glucose depending synthesis method can become soluble!).
even if stated, particles are not dissolved except they vanish by dissolution, i.e. if the get 'molecularly dispersed', e.g. CaCO3 particles in acids. One has to distinct dissolution and dispersion. In later case interface towards continuous phase still present.
