Hi there,

I am using 0.4% trypan blue dye to count my nuclei suspension (generated from snap-frozen intestinal colon tissue). Although I expected a blue stain only (since nuclei resemble the dead cells) I noticed a pink stain as well in some nuclei (picture attached hereby). Is it normal to see pink stains? What do you think about it? Could it be due to light intensity or the filter used in the bright field microscope?

Thanks a lot in advance.
