How relevant is GRADE to systematic reviews of associatiion. The 2020 Prisma Guideline require this however in protocol such as those proposed by Moola et al 2015. (Conducting systematic reviews of association (etiology): The Joanna Briggs Institute's approach) very little guidance is provided.
Yes it is. GRADE is simply a framework for rating the certainty of your findings, which in your case would be the certainty of the association, and is applicable to any systematic review.

GRADE (Grades of Recommendation, Assessment, Development and Evaluation) approach could be used to evaluate the quality of the evidence, for the assessment of risk of bias across the studies.
ROBINS-I and Cochrane Risk of Bias Tool can be used for non-randomized and randomized studies respectively for the assessment of risk of bias in individual studies. I have attached a link on a recent systematic review that may give you more information on the same.
