Hi Tue,

There are several softwares and servers used to find out and search the specific residues. For example, BIOEDIT and MSEQ software useful for your analysis. Using the software, you can find out the specifi residues and finding conserved pattern of over represented residues.

Another tool is used to make logo of residues using their properties. (https://www.expasy.org/resources/search/keywords:sequence logo).

The suggested tools are highly useful in identifying residue motifs. However, unfortunately as far as I can see they do not allow me to specify that I want to analyze residues surrounding e.g. all arginines. Do you know such a tool?
