When plant takes water from.the soil and the water is transpired by the stomata, is it possible to measure the SP potential...if it is attempted by any one, can you share what kind of electrode was used on the tree....

Self Potential (SP) geophysical surveys measure the potential difference between any two points on the ground produced by the small, naturally produced currents that occur beneath the Earth's surface. The SP method is passive, non-intrusive and does not require the application of an electric current.
