May be you should try Qiagean kit, it very easier the quality is good but the concentration seems to be lower as compared to chemical

I use a variation on the Qiagen DNA mini kit for extractions with blood serum, if that helps.

Yeah....whatever the fluid it will work well enough. We are routinely using this same protocol for the isolation of Genomic DNA from clinical specimens either it is a pulmonary or extra pulmonary. even for the tissue sample also we are following the same after grinding well the tissue. Sure it will work...
