Hi,
I am looking for in situ (hand-held or instrumented) Multi Spectrometer (surface reflectance) data for different land covers. Surface Reflectance datasets coincident with a satellite overpass i.e. Landsat (TM/ETM+/OLI) and HJ-1 A/B, are desirable. Could you please provide me if you have or point out the resources from where I could get it.

Normally, it is best that you collect spectral signatures for different objects that represent the land cover of specific area for several reasons:
1- the date and time are very important if they are to be used to classify remote sensing images.
2- The environment where these objects grows or reside may be different from one country to another.
However, there are many available libraries such as http://speclab.cr.usgs.gov/spectral-lib.html
by USGS.

2. Ground-based measurements at the same time the satellite passes over the areas of, for example, a spectrometer FieldSpec, ASD
3. Ready-spectral data libraries USGS: http://speclab.cr.usgs.gov/spectral-lib.html
ASTER spectral library: http://speclib.jpl.nasa.gov/
To study the search area is preferably a spectral library, because reflection spectra are strongly dependent on: see M. Awad

Many thanks for your valuable input, but I am looking for the in situ multispectral radiometer data such as collected using ASD Fieldspec, RAMSES Spectrometer, Cropscan MSR etc.
What I know about the spectral library data, it provides a spectral signature for a specific material which is independent of geographical location. In my case a spectral data for different land features over different geographical locations. This data will be used for the Global validation of an atmospheric correction method.

I would be also interested in such type of data, but did not find a repository of such when I was searching for it few years back. If someone would not come up with something, maybe the only way would be to directly contact institutions doing such measurements, or individual authors of publications based on such data.
