I am performing a simulation in Abaqus to find out the temperature due to friction. In my problem, one plate is moving over the other plate at particular velocity. I have calculated the friction induced temperature.
How to find out the friction induced temperature in theoretically? Any one knows about the calculation, let me know

A simple approach for calculating the heat due to frictional heating would find to out the frictional work done (the area under frictional force vs distance curve). This work would be the heat assuming no losses. The temperature can be calculated from this work done
There are many models available to do so, depending on the complexity and scale of interest. Typically the half space approach can be used in many applications. The challenge than is to acquire the correct partitioning.
